I have moved the ctLow Photography website back to its old server, and redesigned it myself (and quite enjoyed doing so). The address (if you wish to make a note of it) remains unchanged: photog.ctlow.ca.
Note as well the new Shop link above. The people at Square provide such an excellent facility, and my clientèle has found it most convenient. Kindly have a look.
Photography During Wave Number Three

Faithful readers will recall my concern about repetition; I don't mind attending the same venue if I can wrest new interpretations from it, and—frankly—I feel uncertain about that.
Other photographers do amble by
One way to behave responsibly, during pandemic wave three, means heading out in the early morning, with few people around. Fortunately, and as you know, that suits me anyway, both artistically and bio-rhythmically.
The question nonetheless (again) arises. I either have to find new local venues, or find new presentations of familiar ones. Generally, I liked the old presentations, but need, within myself, to move forward. How well that is going I will leave up to you, based upon my personal favourites from recent photography sessions.

Again, I have done dawn photography many times, and have made repeated visits to this Prescott site above, but I hadn't quite seen it like that before.
In the following two, quite often I know as I leave the studio that hope has abandoned me, and that the light will not favour me (and yet I set out).

And quite often the light proves me wrong.
Both of the above feel like one-offs; I don't think that I will ever see those locations quite like that again. Usually, at that time of day, whatever happens happens quickly, and I have to work smartly, or the moment passes.
It also emphasizes what I often describe as photography rule #1: be there. As the great and famous photographer Wayne Gretzky said, You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
I might have made more photographs of the Johnstown Bridge in the past two months than in my entire photographic career prior. And, much to my amazement, I continue to find new light.

This brings us to the morning of May 2. I had a specific project in mind, and then found the light unsuitable. (It will happen some other day.) So all I got were the ones following.

Still Working
So yes, I have felt some frustration, have not been working at this as regularly as usual, but in retrospect, have continued to produce photographs.
Some of them I quite like.
